Section 1 summary:

In this section, learners will develop their knowledge of how to identify and showcase their strengths in their CV when searching for employment.

Section 2 summary:

In Section 2, learners will explore the different areas and branches of media they can utilise when searching for a job.

Section 3 summary:

Learners will be able to identify, in more depth, the key facts needed to be understood when searching for employment, including the types of information needed to begin a search, and to provide to potential employers, whether upfront costs are to be paid, and the methods of application.

Section 4 summary:

Learners will be able to identify the signs that a job advertisement is, or is not, genuine, including common types of search scams, phishing scams, fake job sites, and how you can stay safe.

Section 5 summary:

In Section 5, learners will develop knowledge of the different types of employment status. They will also know where to find information regarding their own employment status, as well as be able to spot the characteristics of each employment status and the advantages and disadvantages of each.

Section 6 summary:

Section 6 explores how employment rights may differ depending on the type of work you are employed for, your age, your length of time with the employer and your employment contract.

Section 7 summary:

Learners will develop their knowledge of the basic employment and statutory rights possessed by workers.

Section 8 summary:

Section 8 gives in-depth insight into the key information enclosed on a payslip that is important to be able to recognise.

Section 9 summary:

Learners will explore the definition of exploitation, and the different types of exploitation that exist in the workplace. They will also identify the sectors of society that are more vulnerable to exploitation and how to identify when it occurs.

Section 10 summary:

Learners will gain an in-depth view of where to find more information on labour exploitation and who to contact if they suspect they, or someone they know, are being exploited.
